EVIDENCE & PROVENANCE

How we review manufacturer information

Source-linked claims, known limitations and a controlled publication process.

PhilOrigin uses an evidence-first publication workflow. A company name in a directory, an AI-generated prospect list or a search result is not enough to publish it as a Philippine manufacturer.

What our source checks mean

For each published record we reviewed public material identifying the company, its product activities and a credible Philippine manufacturing relationship. Sources favor official company websites, product catalogs and, where possible, separate government or trade-organization records. We record the source URL and review date. A source-documented claim is not the same as independent physical verification.

All initial company profiles were editorially reviewed on 30 October 2026. The source references are shown on each profile. Sources may change after review.

Evidence levels and limits

Level Meaning
Official company statement The company publicly states the relevant activity. This is attributable, but not externally audited.
Additional public record A separate public trade or government source supports the identity or manufacturing role. This is corroboration, not a factory audit.
Not publicly confirmed We have not found adequate evidence in the reviewed material. Do not infer that a service or credential exists or does not exist.
Stale, disputed or research-only The material requires rechecking or independent clarification and is not represented as currently verified.

We never use a Philippine business address alone to conclude that a specific product was manufactured in the Philippines. We distinguish actual producers from traders, exporters and brands outsourcing manufacture. Where a specific factory location is unavailable, we say so.

Claims we do not certify

We have not audited plant ownership, inspected facilities, independently validated current certification issuer records, assessed export eligibility, examined shipment documentation or confirmed minimum order quantities. For those topics, request the current evidence from a manufacturer and the relevant official authority. No badges imply audited quality or safety.

Editorial and source rights

Summaries are newly written from selected factual statements. We do not republish competitors' descriptions, photographs, product imagery or logos without appropriate rights. Our site graphics are original; we avoid unlicensed company imagery.

Publication pipeline

  1. Preserve incoming research as private, unapproved candidate data.
  2. Confirm entity identity and distinguish producer, distributor, exporter and brand owner.
  3. Attach claim-level references for manufacturing activity, products, origin and contact claims.
  4. Record unknowns, source dates, limitations, permitted media and reviewer decisions.
  5. Validate IDs, references, publication status and page usefulness.
  6. Generate the public site only from approved, supported records.
  7. Recheck sources, corrections and disputed claims according to a scheduled review policy.

Corrections and limitations

A manufacturer may update its products, plant, brand, contact details or certificates after our review. To report a correction, email corrections@philorigin.com, with the relevant page and supporting source. Our free listing and correction guidelines explain the process. Information here should be a starting point for independent purchasing due diligence, not the sole basis of a commercial decision.
